Today we begin to ask: What does resurrection look like in our friendships? How do we live these 50 days together, not just as individuals who believe, but as a covenant community carrying one another toward the heart of Christ?

Some scholars call Lazarus the “seventh sign” in John’s Gospel. Not a miracle—but a signal. A crack in the frame.
Lazarus is not the particular resurrection we celebrate today - but I want to find our way in to the Jesus story more slowly through this story. 
Because maybe it’s the one we understand.
He came forth, yes—but still bound. Face wrapped. Hands tied.
The text says:
“The dead man came out.” (John 11:44)
Still wrapped in death.
